LGBT student organization

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) student organizations are student-based extracurricular groups composed of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning students and straight allies. The groups exist as a "safe space" for LGBT and queer-identified students. LGBT student organizations exist both at the university level, and less commonly at the high school level (where they are more prone to controversy).
